St. Mary's Anglo-Indian School undertook Adhyayan quality standard self review in July, 2016. Based on the recommendations of Adhyayan quality standard self review, DBSSRE executive committee was formed. DBSSRE Executive

DBSSRE Executive Committee consists of (besides the management) AHMs, Teachers In-charge, Staff Executive Committee, Parent Executive Committee, Alumni, Student Leaders (SPL & ASPL, Secretaries, Asst. Secretaries & Student prefects)

The DBSSRE Executive Committee has decided (after several meetings with the stake-holders--- the Management, staff, students parents & Alumni) to focus on the following four key areas.
1. Discipline 2.Environment 3.Communication 4. Value Education

I. Discipline Policy:Self respect is the root of discipline
Every student abides by the code of conduct printed in the School diary. During this academic year our focus would be to ensure.
  • Punctuality (0% Late attendance)
  • Proper turn out (full uniform)
  • Silence culture
  • Listening culture

Note:The parent council will review the progress in each of the four focus areas and give a report to the Headmaster once a month.

POSITIVE MEASURES
Note:1. The house which gets the highest points for the week will be given a trophy and the house flag will be flown high.
2. Students who excel in all the four focus areas (Discipline, Environment, Communication, Value Education) will be given the 'Star of the month' badge and a well done certificate at the end of the month.

PUNITIVE MEASURES

Discipline
1. Students who are caught for coming late or for improper uniform will get minus 10 points for their respective house.
2. In case of repeated defaulters for late attendance and improper uniform, their parents will be called to meet the Headmaster/the teacher in-charge and they may be sent home with the parent.

Environment
1. Students who are caught for littering the place or wasting the food will get minus 10 points for their respective house.
2. Repeated defaulters will be asked to clean-up the class room or the campus surroundings.

Communication
1. Students who are caught for violating the rule of language (English) will get minus 10 points for their respective house.
2. The defaulters will attend the remedial class in spoken english after school hours from 3.30 pm to 4.15 pm.

Value education
1. Students who are caught for bullying, stealing, fighting or dis-respecting the teacher will get minus 10 points for their respective house.
2. The repeated defaulters will be sent to orphanage or old age home for community service.
Note:1. In case of defaulters who get five remarks in any of the above mentioned areas, their parents will be called to meet the Headmaster. A warning letter will be issued to them and an assurance will be taken from the parent and the student for appropriate behavior in future.
2. Further violation of the above code of conduct will result in immediate suspension combined with community service.
